Ramses Sigl

Choreographer Ramses Sigl works regularly with Claus Guth, with whom he worked on Die Lustige WitweDer RosenkavalierSaul, Lʼincoronazione di Poppea in Frankfurt, Handel's Messiah at the Theater an der Wien, Julietta and Aschemond at the Staatsoper Berlin, Rodelinda at the Teatro Real in Madrid and Frankfurt, and La clemenza di Tito at the Glyndebourne Festival. He also worked on Don Giovanni, Così fan Tutte and Le Nozze di Figaro for the Salzburg Festival. Another important partner is the director Jens-Daniel Herzog (on productions at theatres including Zurich Opera, the Semperoper in Dresden, Oper Dortmund and the Salzburg Festival).

Ramses Sigl has also worked with Aron Stiehl, Bálazs Kovalik, Dieter Dorn, David Alden and Gil Mehmert in, including others, the Prinzregententheater, the Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz and Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich and the Hamburg State Opera. He has worked on plays in Düsseldorf, Bochum and Mannheim and in film and television (including Oscar winning Caroline Link's Im Winter ein Jahr). He taught at the Bavarian Theaterakademie August Everding (1998-2012), the Iwanson Schule for contemporary dance in Munich and the Royal Swedish Ballet Academy.
